My love of palm trees and warm weather came at a very young age after traveling abroad for the first time when I was 14 years old with my cousin and parents to the tropical beaches of Thailand. I’ll never forget the surreal scenery from a little ‘secret beach’ called Maya Bay, which was almost completely hidden away by surrounding cliffs as if it were a dream. Funny enough, our idea to visit this location was inspired by the blockbuster film, “The Beach”, as you may or may not already heard of. Not that we were special in any way—I think the film inspired thousands of others to go at the time as well. Hence, tourism at this location exploded back in the late 90’s/ early 2000’s.
I made my way back and re-explored this same beach later as an adult, as well as a few other places around the world. Currently, I have been going back and forth to Tulum, Mexico, mainly due to its close proximity to my home in Southern California. Eventually, I’d love to visit more of Asia. I am by no means an avid traveler, but I’m always looking forward to my next trip.
I started this blog initially for many different reasons. But after about 2 years, my reasons have narrowed down to just simply wanting to document the places I visit—mainly through photos and a few words about my experience. It’s a great way to look back on archives and gives me a fun incentive to take photos while I’m out and about.
On the same token, I write these articles to help you figure out what to expect upon visiting certain locations. I also reveal convenient and practical items that helped make my own experiences much more safe and enjoyable—which I’m certain you will find helpful as well. I love searching Amazon for the ‘little things you didn’t know you needed’—especially for travel, and I’m happy to share them with you!
Aside from my blog, I live a pretty simple life. I enjoy the beach, excessively smothering my 3 cats, and do graphic design for work. To be honest, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Christ is first and center in my life and travel is nothing more than a blessing ♥
Hope you enjoy!
